"The Unseen" by T.L. Hines

I just finished reading this book (The Unseen by T. L. Hines) the other day and it is a great read. At first I thought it was going to be pretty disappointing, but as I continued reading I really got sucked into it. I could not put it down.
It's a deliciously disturbing book. Not revoltingly creepy, but it's pretty out there.
This is the story of a reclusive- but not anti-social- man, Lucas, who likes to "observe" people, as he puts it. He will hide in ceilings and coat closets and secretly watch the world around him. Although, he knows where his line is drawn. He refuses to enter, or even think about the inside of someone elses home (which is very foreign to him, being an orphan and living in university basements) or follow anyone outside his "observation posts." He is perfectly content with his "observations" until one night he meets Donovan who turns life completely upside down and takes him far away from the comfort of his solitude.
T. L. Hines is a fantastic author and I absolutely love his style and how modern his writing is. I can't wait to pick up another one of his books.
